elcome fine citizens...to the website dedicated to the Bowman clan from a little town in Michigan, USA. Actually, it is not so much a dedication as it is a homage towards our fine family. Ok, it's not really even that. This site is the home of a new writing project I am working on. It is (very) loosely based upon our family, but it is set in a far away land in a much different time period. If you wish to know further, please read the introduction.
As of right now, this site is a little bare bones. That will change over time. The focus right now is content. And content ye shall have damn it! I will try to add to these chronicles frequently - at least once a month. The stories will be provided in html and as pdf downloads. They are fully free to read, but please no stealing and taking credit for them.

Latest Update: Chapter 15 is finally online. I apologize for the delay, but I will get to that in a moment. I started this chapter back in January, but only got back to it yesterday. I left off at the part where the alarms go off. I'm not sure if I finished the chapter how I originally planned, but that's what makes this story more interesting. It is definitely a "write-as-you-go" project. Chapter 15 may be a little dry to some (with all the sci-fi elements), but it was necessary. I needed to give people more insight on the bounty hunters, especially if you haven't seen Outer Space BBQ (most haven't). Those who have will recognize some carry-overs from that film. I do plan to novelize that film at some point, but I need to track it down first. My copy seems to have gone missing.
As for my disappearance, well for one, I went back to work a couple of weeks ago. Therefore, writing time is not as abundant. Secondly, for a variety of reasons, I have decided that it is time to stop being afraid of rejection. It is time to move on to the next step. Over the past year, I have been reading a lot more. Indirectly, this has led to many study sessions. I am to the point where I am comfortable with writing - meaning that I am not second guessing every little thing, grammar or otherwise. I am still too much of a perfectionist, but my confidence has grown. There are still some rough edges, but these can be ironed out. With that said, I have decided to focus my attention on a new novel - a fantasy novel - and make a serious go at my first publishing attempt. Therefore, I will be using most of my writing time writing that. However, I still intend to have a new chapter of the Bowmanian Chronicles online about once a month. I will try to dedicate one week to this each month. Just give me some time to churn out the next chapter. With the layoff, I'm going to need to finish my "revisiting" of previous chapters to make sure the story makes sense from here on out. See you in about a month!
Last Update: Another week and another two chapters. It seems that I get more done when I don't make any promises. I have decided to finish book one of this tale before resuming any work on my other projects, so you should expect regular updates. Hopefully at least once a week.
